I was thinking about writing a long post about some more things that I saw at Affiliate Summit, but I think you guys get the gist of what happens at the shows and my perspective of them.
What I think a lot of people really need, is to to open their minds and hearts. Stop trying to do things and just do them. Stop hoping to get what you want, and go out and get it.
Let me tell you something. When I was a kid, and this might sound a bit cocky, but I promise it’s not intended to… I knew I was here to achieve greatness, I knew that I was given a “gift” for a reason. The reason was to help people in every way imaginable. Not to be selfish.
When I was a kid, I looked out in the sky and asked my mom what was out there. Why was all this bad stuff happening to people, yet there’s just so much beauty and mystery out there left to be discovered.
Listen – I’m not here to be mediocre. It’s not in my blood. It’s not how I think. I’m not a selfish person, in fact I’m the complete opposite.
I’m not here to live a good life and go on. I’m here to live a great life, run businesses that help people, and to make sure that everyone around me and all the companies I work with, also have great lives and achieve all their business goals. Otherwise, I’ve failed.
And let me tell you something. The cliche is that you have to sacrifice in order to be a millionaire, or successful in whatever way you deem successful, but I’m here to tell you that’s just not true. I don’t sacrifice, I haven’t burned a single bridge, I haven’t left anybody behind, and I’ve accomplished every last thing that I said I would… by a very young age.
Let me tell you something else… when I was a little kid, I had the same goals as you did. I had the same dreams and ambitions as every other little kid. I wanted to travel the world. I wanted to work for myself. I wanted to be so ridiculously happy and successful that those people that laughed at that 8 year old boy would never again laugh at a kid with a dream.
Don’t just squeak by, be extraordinary. And surround yourself with extraordinary people.
