Yes, it’s true. If you are a member of List Playbook then you will know what I’m talking about. I mention this fortune cookie in the guide. Ironic.
What I actually want to point out is that the answer you are seeking to your question, whatever that question might be, is right in front of you. You already know the answer, and sometimes all it takes is actually looking at what falls in front of you (or comes out of your fortune cookie.)
I don’t care if you are facing the most complicated marketing campaign ever or if you are just trying to figure out what to do with your life. That answer is right in front of you. Crazy right? It happens to me all the time. I used to be so closed off to influence but now I am seeing that even the oddest things are helping and guiding me.
I had a surreal experience while writing the “List Building Core” guide for List Playbook. That ultimately ended up helping me make some points even clearer in the guide. It’s ironic, strange and kind of cool that we all look so far for answers yet they are sitting right in front of us, on our fortune cookies and in other random places.
Is it just purely random that I just got this fortune cookie while writing the List Playbook guide? And while I was searching for, at that exact moment a better way to use language to convey a marketing and learning concept? You decide.
P.S. I just watched an episode of Unsolved Mysteries. Can you tell? Wow, it’s funny what kind of stuff influences us. It’s like a never-ending chain of influence.

This is exactly some of the same stuff that helps me. Some of us aren’t experts by any means but when you are able to explain things to other people it often enhances your understanding as well.
