I arrived yesterday at Affiliate Summit East 2010 and thought I’d post up some of the pictures so far.
I was surprised to find some interesting marketing tactics inside the hand out bag that you get when you arrive.
The first thing that caught my eye was some of that old fashion cigarette candy, which had a Affiliate.com ad on it. Then I saw an envelope that looked like a check and that actually contained a $2 check from Chexx.com. AskNow.com even had a fortune cookie with a marketing message on the little paper. Another funny tactic was from cpaway.com, they put a quarter in a water bottle with some business cards.
I’m now sitting in the blogger room where they are in the process of setting up a Nintendo Wii. I’ll post back soon after I explore the sessions and meet market a bit more to see what kind of tactics they are using in there to grab attention.
