Direct Marketers are great at expansion – they have to be. If the goal is to attract new customers, they continually look for new mailing lists for acquisition. List profiles may have much in common, but they were always looking for more of those people.
Good affiliates do the same. Rather than settle for current readership, sites that want to grow their revenue are looking to attract new eyeballs – and through new methods beyond SEO optimization. Rather than keep doing the same thing, and hoping that a piece of your content goes viral, which happens about as often as winning the lottery, work to expand your audience.
Share links, connect with like-minded individuals for promotion via their social media, and focus on building your community. The goal is never settle – if readership is not growing, neither is your business.
