What is your stance on adult and gambling affiliate marketing?
Do you promote anything that can make a profit?
Do you work with whatever offer is going to do best or that you have traffic in?
It seems there is a true divide in the industry of what is morally “cool” or not.
I know a lot of affiliates that will promote anything that will make them a profit or that they hear others are making a profit from.
And, I also know affiliates that are generally scared of what people will think if they tap into certain industries like adult, gambling, etc.
In recent times a lot of affiliates I know have gone back to these types of industries that get a bad rap sometimes. The regular stuff has dried up so they go back to what they started with, back in the day. It’s a trend that I’m seeing more and more of people reverting back to what used to work really well for them. Some are hitting a lot of success with it and others aren’t and blaming it on too much competition now.
That brings me into a whole other tangent that I didn’t want to go on but, I will.
In a general sense, I think people make excuses that are usually very very untrue and becoming more of a justification of why not to do something.
This isn’t just about doing adult or gambling, it’s about doing anything in general. People like to give themselves reasons not to be successful. Maybe they are scared of success, scared of quitting their job someday.
I think if you are a good marketer you should be all about action and never ever scared of success. You can’t be.
It’s like being afraid to shoot a 3 pointer if you’re Kobe Bryant and the game winning shot comes to you. You have to shoot it with all the confidence in the world and believe that you are going to make it.
